From the Heart!

Even before I found a precious home in the Roth 5 Rhythms (1996) and became a certified teacher, 2001. The performance and healing arts had already saved my life.

They continue to be an otherworldly healing tool. I continue to enter into maps that I have known as well as finding new and ancient ones each time I step onto the sacredness of the dance floor and each time I sing to the ancestors who came before me.

May our paths meet there.
Peace,
Margaux Medicine Dancer

These classes and workshops are for you if are any shape for size, if  you are any age; and if you have always wanted to find more freedom with movement and find the dancer within. If you think you  have two left feet and have thoughts that you have to look a certain way, be a certain age or in perfect health to dance you have come to the right place.

These classes are for you if you are on a spiritual journey, if you are seeker of your inner and outer truth, if you want to be more easily in relationship to yourself and others.

If you have ever thought about being a 5 Rhythms teacher,

If you are a dancer who has a habit of moving in a certain way that is blocking your progress and freedom.

If you are a technical dancer or improvisational dancer who wants to explore a myriad of new

 possibilities in movement and freedom.

This dance is for you, if you practice yoga and would like to step off the mat to explore millions

of maps that your movement and breath can create.

If you know that the dance is your church, is your temple to pray in and play in.

If you are a musician or actor who seeks more freedom within the body, if you are in the medical field and want to experience the healing power of dance and creativity, if indeed you are someone who needs healing.

This dance is for you if you are someone who has never danced and yet dreams of being a mover and a shaker, if you are someone who is feeling like a couch potato and has lost your lust for life.

If you crave community, sharing, and integrity.

All possibilities of new beginnings are waiting for us to step on the sacredness of the dance floor.

The best place to begin is together.

And sometimes We Write! We all have words to write.  Our inner voice needs to be heard. Perhaps a book or poem wants to be begin, perhaps, a forgotten memory wants to talk to you. It does not matter where you come from, we all have our dreams and dreams can come true. And if it has been along time since you have dreamed then come and seek the part within you that knows how to dream brightly and love deeply.

Reflections on Chaos

The world is, and has been in the Rhythm CHAOS  for awhile now. For a long while. It is time to stay focused and centered as well as being in the state of letting go and being able to move with and thrive in this very alive spontaneous rhythm.

I have used the memory of centuries ago dancing, dancing, shapeshifting and dancing around and through a huge bond fires with all of nature. Every single part of nature until  reaching my pure existance of stardust.

Chaos is a wild  and free, moving with  spontaneous eruptions of  female and male energy meeting and letting go. It is the time and temperament of the teenager, free to grow and push through and onward, to release barriers and throw all 52  cards upward while supporting the patterns and puzzles that might  form and  then  come tumbling down with ease or total unfamiliarity.

Chaos gives us the constant availability of  letting go, letting go, letting go. And we keep flying, letting the head go, and setting the mind free.

The Shakti Wave
Rebirthing Ourselves

A 12 week women's circle begins Friday

May 6 - July 22  7:00pm-9:00pm

Dear Sisters and Brothers,
Brothers, please tell your sisters.
THE SHAKTI WAVE, the 12 week women's circle, ages 48 and older is now birthed so that we may encourage, support and stand for each other as we explore the worthy, joyful, exciting and difficult changes in our life's journey thus far.

I continue to ask my sisters, " So how is this "getting older " transition for you? I have been asking and asking and sharing and sharing. What do you desire? What is happening right now? Does it feel okay? Do you feel lit up? Do you feel lost? Are you full of anticipation? Do you feel crazy or calm or both? Are you still doing the "Wild Thing?" Are you letting go of what no longer matters? And what does matter to you?

For me I have been watching her from the corner of my eye,I feel her, I see her, this part of me who has to leave me so that I may rebirth myself; it is unsettling and yet amazing. We must change, and yet how do we still keep our "groove",our "mojo", our "hot damn", our "creativity" and everything else going as we dance into this new realm? What a gift to share and explore these new realms, new wings and revelations together.

The Goddess Shakti is said to be the primodial cosmic energy and represents the dynamic forces that are thought to move through the entire universe.
Together with our Shakti energy we explore; Who we were? Who we are? What is it we want to begin and complete? Who and what do we want to heal and stand for as individuals and as a unified vibration as we each step up to the throne and become the "Crowned Ones", the matriarchs in our societies.
May we hold hands and hold space for each other on this glistening path together.

Being Seen, Being Heard, The 5 Rhythms and Conscious Relating, Yoga, Art, Authentic Movement, Authentic Voices, Healing -Intuitive modalities, Essential Oils and more.

 Moving into Animal

Communication

New School of Music
Sunday, November 14

25 Lowell Street, Cambridge across from Mt Auburn hospital
11:30 AM 5:00pm

Greetings Dear Movers, Shakers and Advocates for Animals,

What a treat for me to offer a workshop filled with two of my deepest passions; movement and reverence to animals.
Movement: What better way to come back to the knowledge of our body and the grounding cord it provides for us so we can journey into deeper connection to our innate relationship with telepathy and intuition.
Many of us jump right out of our bodies for a myriad of reasons. We have done this since childhood. The dance, the movement gives us reason to stay connected to our feet, to mother earth, and all of her inhabitants including ourselves.
This experiential workshop offers the art of movement to assist us in moving away from the chattering mind that keeps us from rediscovering our abilities to communicate with animals, to communicate with all ourselves and all others.
We will begin with a warm up that allows for us to venture into the knowledge of our own human animal self and give ourselves permission to trust what we already know.
We will surrender and trust our body to move as it will as enter into our shamanic journey and meet our totem power animals.
Have you ever wondered what your pup or kitty or other animal family members are trying to tell you, teach you, guide you? Have you ever asked that tyrant of a fly where he keeps landing on you? Have you listened for the messages? We will explore fun exercises to enhance our birth given connection to telepathy. We will also use the garden to welcome other fellow Beings to add to our connection with nature.
What to bring:
Your curious adult and child-like self, a journal, a photo of your animal family member on earth or in spirit, water and a snack.
Wear layers of comfortable clothes to move in, including socks and or soft soled shoes.

For more info please just ask. And please share with fellow seekers.
Thank you so much.
Peace,
Margaux

Dancing Prana Yoga and Fitness (R)

At the New School of Music in Cambridge
25 Lowell Street, Cambridge, MA 02138
(617) 492-8105
Mondays 12-1:15pm | February 24 – April 20, 2015
 Tuition: $150 |
In Dancing Prana Yoga and Fitness, we share an inquiry to self and the connection and importance between breath (prana) and movement on the yoga mat and off the yoga mat.
How does the inhale awaken us as we move into each yoga posture? What takes place in our whole being as we  breathe and settle into the posture?  What happens when we can fully let go into the exhale?  Are we able to b e curious and free when we step off the mat  into exploration of  movement through the room?   Which parts  feel stuck or numb, and which parts give way to fluidly and ease?
To create a better way of life, it is essential that our prana is dancing. If it is not, then we are holding back on many levels including not allowing oxygen to fully reach our brain.
Dancing Prana Yoga and fitness offers pathways that strengthen, stretch, soften, support, align, and  awaken the human potential of full expression and health.
What to bring: A yoga mat, a journal if you like, bottle of water,  layers of comfortable clothing to move in and socks.

Dancing on Holy Ground

We return to the holy ground in our dance. With each step we take our souls connect to the soles of our feet and with grace, and wildness we become a healing prayer.

We witness ourselves in the muck of distractions that take us away from our dreams and visions, and then once again we begin to dance into our intention and the spirit we are. We become courage, compassion and clarity as we remember that we too are holy ground.

 Ecstatic Vision Quest

Seeking Higher Vision for our communities and ourselves.
Balancing the feminine and masculine energies that we all hold
Awaking the intentions and prayers that radiate within and through us.
Trusting our bodies to receive an honoring of purposeful focus.
Receiving insight from Shamanic Journeys with our fellow
ancient beings the whales and dolphins.
Step out of the box, step out of the square find your feet and dance.

Meeting your guides that assist you on your journey through this life.

The Sacred Rite to Age

Women moving into the Dream Change are moving forward into a new time and a new age,(our new age),  letting go of youth as we knew her and letting youth back in as we map new beginnings.

This gathering is experiential as we dip into exploring different parts of ourselves through movement, creation, observation, creative exercises and personal tasks. We ask questions, we get answers. We create a non-judgement group for our growth.

An invitation to share our wisdom learned. We are the keepers of what was and the creators of what could be. Let us begin to change the course of history…instead of teaching ourselves and the next generations to fear the years ahead. Let us celebrate our agelessness and acknowledge the natural process of aging. Let us dance into our future with the wisdom of elders that we already are or preparing to become. Let us experience ourselves as ecstatic living spirits that we truly are and welcome in the magic of movement and the mysteries & states of grace that we may have no perception of yet! In this workshop we give ourselves permission to be in the here and now, which then gives us freedom to step fully into our own future, not someone elses

A Time to Dance!

A Time to Write!

A Time to Dance! A Time to Write, because support to take action is sometimes a lot better in a group setting. We are clear why we came.

The honoring of the body, and the cellular changing dance maps of the Roth 5 Rhythms (R) enhance our creativity and invite us to release pent up energy that frees us to be the best channels for our creative process.

And here we can write down the words that await their moment to come alive and share their truths and imagination. How wonderful to sweat our prayers (R)  and write down our magic.

Bring: writing materials,  soft soled shoes or dance in bare feet,  water, comfortable layered clothing to move in and of course your curiosity.

A Different Portal of Entry to this Earth Plane

A workshop for teens and adults who came into this world via C- section. Together we will explore the maps of our births to present day. We will explore the challenges, courage and the similarities that we share. From the medicine bag, our tools of explorations will include, The Roth 5 Rhythms, inquiry, mapping, writing and  new birth.

These words were sent to us by Jonathan Horan. He is an amazing teacher as his mother Gabrielle Roth was and still is.

Each rhythm builds on the other so that we can’t “get” stillness until we’ve actually experienced lyrical;

and we can’t “get” lyrical until we’ve found the structure that holds us and the freedom of the edges from which we leap into the unknown in chaos;

and we can’t find the structures that define our edge in staccato until we have a sense of our own flow, of our feet on this earth.

Each rhythm has its particular teachings, and the end result is to have a self, to reach that place in lyrical where we become the most magical, intuitive, instinctive, original wave of self, and that is the only thing worthy of offering to the great emptiness and the great stillness so we give up the self and just be, in the energy of the spirit and the breath.

But we cannot do that until we have really touched upon that self that is a worthy offering to the vast nothingness that holds and creates everything.

We can’t let go of a self we've never been.

 THANK YOU DEAR JONNY!
